PDI is well-known to many as the provider of a number of comprehensive, career-boosting training and education programs. As we've shared here at The Knowledge Nook, thousands of people have attended PDI’s certificate programs on subjects ranging from private investigations, forensics, and human resources, to dental assisting, medical assisting and billing, and paralegal training.
For other professionals, however, PDI is better known as one of the world’s leaders in energy accounting education. For energy industry professionals, the North American Petroleum Accounting Conference (NAPAC) is a must-attend event every year. 2017 will be the conference’s 44th year, and the conference is as strong, and relevant, today as it was when it began more than four decades ago.
Dates for NAPAC 2017 are May 18-19 at Dallas’ Westin Galleria.
Every year, NAPAC features an impressive group of speakers. Coming in 2017 is Kay Bailey Hutchison, who represented Texas is the U.S. Senate for two decades. While in the Senate, her duties included serving in elected Republican leadership, and later as Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee. After leaving the Senate, she joined international law firm Bracewell LLP as Senior Counsel, practicing in Energy and Financial Institutions.
Also in 2017 will be Railroad Commission of Texas Chairman Christi Craddick. Since her tenure on the Commission began in 2012, Craddick has pushed to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the energy industry.
