Congratulations! You’ve made the decision to move further along your career path by continuing your education- whether it’s going to college, pursuing a graduate degree or deciding on a professional certification. The first step in that path usually involves taking some type of standardized test that then gets submitted to the college or university of your choice.
That test anxiety starts to creep in just thinking about having to sit down and take that test, doesn’t it? Maybe your heart rate picks up, and you might even feel light-headed or feel a headache coming on. However, you can definitely take steps to manage that test anxiety. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, two of the ways to help yourself is to be prepared and develop good test-taking skills.
